Director of Operations and Programs, Climate Action Campaign
Kayla loves to live and play in a healthy environment and so she works to protect our environment, health, and quality of life with public policy and technology that reduce pollution and increase renewable energy, transit, walking, biking. Currently serving as Climate Action Campaign's Director of Operations and Programs, Kayla's career spans the not-for-profit, government, and private sectors. Previously, Kayla worked as a policy advocate at Environmental Health Coalition, a research analyst for the Massachusetts House of Representatives Committee on Global Warming and Climate Change, and a market researcher for an environmental remediation contractor. Raised in Massachusetts, Kayla earned her B.A. in Environmental Studies from Middlebury College in 2008.
Kayla serves on SDLA's Board as the Leadership Institute Co-Chair and is a 2013 graduate of the program. In 2012, she was recognized as one of San Diego County's 30 Under 30 Leaders by Patch.com. When she isn't in the office, you'll find Kayla outside running, backpacking, skiing, and commuting by bicycle as often as possible.
