Prevention and Education Coordinator, University of San Diego
Sarah is the Prevention & Education Coordinator at the University of San Diego, where she works with USD students and campus partners to implement prevention education efforts pertaining to sexual and relationship violence.
Sarah’s professional background includes crisis counseling, prevention program development and facilitation, and advocacy for victim/survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones. Some of her favorite work in the nonprofit sector involved creating and facilitating drop-in support groups at both the Sexual Violence Center and CornerHouse Interagency Child Abuse Evaluation and Training Center.
A Minnesota native, Sarah received her Master’s Degree in Counseling and Psychological Services from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota and her Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts from Augsburg College. Sarah is a 2015 San Diego Leadership Alliance Fellow, holds certification in the state of California for domestic violence and sexual assault crisis intervention, and volunteers weekly at Center for Community Solutions. Sarah is passionate about social justice, strong coffee, and good fiction.
