Time to enjoy San Diego's magnificent outdoors with the San Diego Leadership Alliance!
On Sunday, April 30, at 10 a.m., we will host an easy, flat-terrain 2.5-to-3 hour hike along Los Penasquitos Canyon to the waterfall. We'll start the hike from the east end of the canyon, at the parking lot located at 12120 Black Mountain Rd, San Diego, CA 92129. SDLA Board Member and former Sierra Club San Diego chair Davin Widgerow will lead the hike.
News out of Washington, D.C., suggests some challenging years ahead for the environmental movement. While one hike alone is not enough to hold back the wave of anti-environmental policies coming from the new administration, this event is an opportunity for SDLA to come together in solidarity with climate warriors, open space activists, and environmental justice advocates. This hike will provide us the opportunity to renew the battle for our American heritage: the land, the water, the air, the wilderness — and the generations to come.
