Davin Widgerow Appointed to City of San Diego's Community Forest Advisory Board

Newly minted 2015 San Diego Leadership Institute Fellow, Davin Widgerow, was recently appointed by Mayor Faulconer to the City of San Diego's Community Forest Advisory Board (CFAB) after receiving a nomination by Councilmember David Alvarez.

He will join the fourteen member board to advise the Mayor on all policy issues relating to urban forestry and further the CFAB vision of creating mechanisms for establishing, advocating and stewarding, in perpetuity, a healthy urban forest.

"I look forward to ensuring that all residents of the city are surrounded by a healthy urban forest and an attractive prosperous environment," Widgerow says. He serves on the Steering Committee for Sierra Club San Diego, which is tasked with coordinating Club projects, activities, finances, and administration. He also serves as Chair of the Political Committee, which engages political candidates and environmental activists to further Sierra Club’s conservation efforts.

Davin's work as an environmental lawyer and commitment to environmental advocacy is a major gain to the CFAB and the City of San Diego
