Born in London, Kaison spent his early years in Tokyo and grew up in the DC metropolitan area. He studied mathematics and computer science at Williams College. Since then, he has launched or helped grow social enterprises in food, education, and environment.

Kaison is currently the managing director of Impact Without Borders, an organization that serves social enterprises in the San Diego-Tijuana region through accelerators, human-centered design workshops, and innovation management services. He has been in San Diego since 2014, where he has served as program lead for the San Diego Startup Leadership Program, Steering Committee member of Leaders2020, and senior analyst for Tech Coast Angels.
