January 27th marked the kick-off of the 2015-2016 San Diego Leadership Alliance Institute! We at the SDLA welcome this sixth class of progressive individuals. Our benchmark SDLA Institute aims to provide these Fellows with the tools needed to become leaders in San Diego.

2014 San Diego Leadership Alliance Fellow Jeff Graves has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Lambda Archives, an organization that collects, preserves, and teaches the history of lesbian, gay, bisexual,and transgender people in the San Diego and Northern Baja California region.
"There is no doubt that my gained experience, skills and overall participation with the San Diego Leadership Alliance has played a positive role and will continue to help me achieve my goals in moving forward a progressive agenda via community activism in San Diego," Graves says.
In its mission to develop the next generation of progressive leaders in San Diego, the SDLA encourages and equips Fellows with the skills necessary to join boards and commissions.

We are now accepting applications and nominations for the 2015 class of the SDLA Institute. Applications will close on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 11:59 p.m. If you plan on applying, please consider attending one of our upcoming optional information sessions.
Our network is critical to helping identify emerging leaders in the region's progressive community. If you know of outstanding professionals who might be good candidates for the SDLA Institute, please forward this email to them or nominate them today! Your nominee(s) will receive an email inviting them to apply for the SDLA Institute, and notifying them of your nomination.

SDLA Board Elects Co-Directors Johanna Schiavoni and John Greenwell, Thanks Outgoing Co-Director Colin Parent

The San Diego Leadership Alliance (SDLA) is proud to announce the election of its 2015 Co-Directors: Johanna Schiavoni and John Greenwell. Schiavoni will serve a fourth year as Co-Director of the SDLA. She is joined by new Co-Director Greenwell, who recently completed a two-year term as Co-Chair of the SDLA Institute, the organization’s signature leadership training program. Greenwell replaces Colin Parent, who has devoted six years of leadership to building the organization.Read more
